Here at Darlo Dogs, we feel incredibly fortunate to be able to spend time with other people’s dogs, a huge responsibility that isn’t taken lightly, so the safety and well-being of all our dogs come first.
All our friends need to be flea free. Darlo Dogs reserves the right to refuse a haircut or entry into daycare. Compensation of $60 PLUS the amount of the groom and daycare will be charged if your dog has fleas.
Your dog must not have any communicable illnesses, such as gastroenteritis, or be coughing when they come for grooming or daycare.
For our daycare guests at Darlo Dogs, it is a necessary requirement to undergo a temperament trial prior to being allowed to participate in daycare activities. This is for the safety of all staff and dogs and to ease puppies into daycare. The temperament trial is for a minimum of 3 hours. During this period, we monitor the dog’s body language, posturing, and reactions during the first critical social interaction. Then they are gradually integrated into one of our supervised play groups that best suits their personality. Dogs that are not settling and display anxious and stressed behaviour will not be integrated for their well-being, and we will discuss whether daycare is the best option with you. Dogs that become overexcited are given a timeout before being allowed to rejoin the group. Anti-social and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Groups are decided based on factors such as energy levels and temperament. This is done carefully and at a pace within each dog’s comfort level as we want to make their transition into the pack as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Grooming
By accepting a grooming appointment, I, the undersigned, hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms as a condition of having my dog(s) groomed by Darlo Dogs:
Health and Behaviour Disclosure
I confirm that my dog is in good health and has not been knowingly exposed to any contagious or communicable diseases. I have disclosed any known medical or behavioural conditions that may affect grooming, including allergies, sensitivities, or aggression.
Grooming Risks
I understand that grooming may expose hidden health issues or exacerbate existing conditions, including but not limited to skin irritation, cuts, nicks, or stress-related symptoms. I acknowledge that all care will be taken during grooming, but injuries may occur despite best efforts.
Matting and Coat Condition
I understand that if my dog’s coat is severely matted, it may require shaving for the animal’s comfort and safety. I release Darlo Dogs from liability for any effects associated with this process, including irritation, itchiness, or uneven coat regrowth.
Parasites and Cleanliness
If fleas or ticks are found on my dog, I understand that a flea treatment may be administered at my expense, and I will be notified. I agree that Darlo Dogs may refuse service if my dog is excessively dirty or poses a risk to other animals or staff.
Vaccinations
I confirm that my dog is up-to-date with all vaccinations required by Darlo Dogs, including, but not limited to, C3 (Parvovirus, Distemper, Hepatitis) and Kennel Cough. Proof of vaccination may be requested.
Emergency Veterinary Care
In the event of a medical emergency, I authorise Darlo Dogs to seek immediate veterinary attention at my expense. Every reasonable effort will be made to contact me first.
Release of Liability
I release Darlo Dogs, its staff, owners, and agents from any and all liability, claims, damages, or costs arising from the grooming of my dog, including but not limited to injury, illness, stress, or death, except in the case of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Photos and Media
I grant permission for photos or videos of my dog to be used for marketing or promotional purposes by Darlo Dogs, unless I notify them in writing otherwise.
Payment and Cancellations
I agree to pay in full at the time of service. I acknowledge that missed appointments or late cancellations on the day will incur a fee. The fee will be $60 if we can fill the grooming spot at late notice, or the full cost of the groom.
Daycare
By bookinga daycare appointment, I, the undersigned, hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms as a condition of my dog(s) attending daycare at Darlo Dogs:
Health and Vaccination Requirements
I confirm that my dog is in good general health and has not been knowingly exposed to any contagious or communicable diseases. I will provide proof of current C3 vaccinations for baby puppies and C5 vaccinations for older dogs. I understand that Darlo Dogs may refuse entry or isolate any dog showing signs of illness until collected. While Darlo Dogs accepts sufficiently vaccinated puppies, I acknowledge that any risk associated with early exposure to other fully vaccinated dogs lies with me.
Medication and Veterinary Care
If my dog requires medication, I will provide it along with written instructions from a licensed veterinarian. In the event of illness or emergency, I authorise Darlo Dogs to seek veterinary treatment from their recommended clinic: Vet HQ Darlinghurst, 350 Victoria St, Darlinghurst NSW. I agree to pay all veterinary expenses in full upon collection of my dog.
Suitability for Daycare
I understand that daycare may not be suitable for all dogs. Darlo Dogs reserves the right to refuse any dog that displays unsociable, anxious, or destructive behaviour. Support contacts may be provided for dogs requiring behavioural assistance.
Size, Temperament, and Play Style
Darlo Dogs is a small dog daycare and reserves the right to refuse entry based not only on size but also on temperament or play style. The safety and wellbeing of all dogs in care is a priority.
Aggressive Behaviour
Any dog found to be aggressive or exhibiting dangerous behaviour will not be accommodated at Darlo Dogs. Any behaviour deemed unsafe or inappropriate may result in my dog being removed from group play, isolated within the facility, and refused future visits.
Lead and Collar Requirements
All dogs must be on a lead when approaching, entering, and leaving the facility. All dogs must wear a collar with visible identification at all times while attending daycare.
Off-Leash Play and Risks
Darlo Dogs operates a cage-free, off-leash environment where dogs interact and play under supervision. I acknowledge that daycare involves inherent risks, including but not limited to minor injuries. Darlo Dogs staff will administer first aid if required and notify me of any incident at pick-up.
Late Pick-Up Policy
I understand that daycare pick-up must occur before 6:00 PM. A late fee of $2 per minute will be charged after 6:00 PM, increasing to $5 per minute for repeat offenders. Ongoing lateness may result in suspension from daycare.
Pre-Booking and Cancellation Policy
I understand that daycare must be pre-booked. Cancellations or rescheduling made before 7:30 AM on the day of attendance will be credited in full. If I cancel after 7:30 AM or fail to attend, I forfeit my credit or payment.
Release of Liability
I release Darlo Dogs, its staff, owners, and agents from any and all liability, claims, damages, or costs arising from my dog’s participation in daycare, including but not limited to illness (e.g. canine influenza or tick-borne diseases), injury, death, loss, or property damage. I fully indemnify Darlo Dogs and its employees against all such claims, including veterinary, medical, or legal expenses. I acknowledge that despite all care, dogs at play may sustain accidental injuries.
Photos and Media
I grant permission for photos or videos of my dog to be used by Darlo Dogs for marketing and promotional purposes, in print or digital format. I waive any right to compensation or approval. All media remains the property of Darlo Dogs.
Communication and Email Updates
I acknowledge that I may receive occasional newsletters or email updates from Darlo Dogs. These communications provide information on changes, events, or important updates. I understand I may unsubscribe at any time.
